Being In a Fog

A temperature inversion’s

A natural perversion.

Warm air wafts over cold ground.

Fog results without a sound.

It’s one way the earth emotes,

Just as humans shed their coats.

It’s fleeting so grab it quick.

It’s soon thin from pea soup thick.

Mysterious and moody,

Not sunny howdydoody.

Emotionally brooding,

Mother Nature colluding.

It’s silently dark and still,

Humid breeze with just a chill.

A magic blanket of calm,

It’s nature’s comforting balm.

  1. Yes. Virtually all the photos that accompany nature articles and poems and travel pieces are by Thor.

As always Anne, thanks for your interest and comments.
